The California Mental Health Services Authority is a Joint Powers of Authority (JPA) formed in 2009 by counties throughout the state to work on collaborative, multi-county projects that improve behavioral health care for all Californian residents.
The LA County Department of Mental Health is the largest county mental health department in the US, providing mental health services for LA County residents. LACDMH directly operates 75 program sites in the county, serving over 250,000 clients, annually.
